SOUTHERN It is impossible to walk the beaches of southern Florida and not gather sea shells. It is quite addictive and difficult not to collect just one more perfect specimen. I thought it would be fun to incorporate Naples sand and shells into these paintings. Like a collage of nature with coloured turquoise sea beyond. Sand and shells is a universal happy ground for beach walkers the world over. I continue to incorporate found objects in these works in order to express the colour and texture of nature. |
