SNOW AND ICE

Winter is a fascinating season. Angry waves pound the shores, huge ice banks pile up along the coastline, blinding snow-storms make travelling impossible, ice forms intricate patterns and when the sun shines, the sky is blue and there is once again tranquility. I have been deeply touched by the beauty of winter, particularly in the countryside where I live. There is a beauty in the wildness as well as a peacefulness in the tranquility. I have been inspired by the texture and pattern of this special season.
