NIGHT

I was intrigued with using black as a background. It was interesting playing with texture and discovering how black reacts to light. I was also intrigued by the sight of some liquid metallic acrylics waiting patiently in my paint box to be used. My quest would be to use the metallic sparingly for maximum impact. I envisioned a night sky with the sudden brightness of fireworks lighting up the darkness. I also remembered testing of the prototype for the Canadian Avro Arrow was done over the southern shore of Prince Edward County … the streaking movement of that sleek plane soaring up and over my home into the darkness of the night and into the dark doom of Lake Ontario.
