MARITIME

The uniqueness of my favourite of all islands, Prince Edward, the smallest Canadian province on the eastern seaboard, is forever etched in my soul. The slower pace of life enabled my family to enjoy sailing in the Atlantic. Out on the water, one was very attuned to the motion of the waves, the shifting of the tides and the salt spray in the air. These paintings are my interpretation of the movement of water and the texture of sand… special memories of a special time and place. I was particularly delighted, and thought it quite fitting, when one of these paintings was purchased by a Maritimer while vacationing in Ontario… it was taken back “down home” to the Maritimes.
